I found these tasty treats in the supermarket a while ago. I never really enjoyed the larger kiwifruit (known as the “kiwi” in some parts of the world, which amuses us New Zealanders no end), but these little ones are great.

It actually tasted exactly like a feijoa. I think kiwiberries are just feijoas that have been bred to have an edible skin and bright green flesh. Anyway, they’re great on porridge or just eaten whole. Now, if only I could find them in a shop again.

I just moved into this house in Oregon that has a very prolific growth of kiwiberries. I would like to know about them. How to best preserve them. How to better care for trees, etc.
Thanks

I have still never seen kiwiberries since that first time in Australia. Since then I have moved to New Zealand, so I am hopeful that I’ll see kiwiberries again.

I am happy to say that I have found kiwiberries in various fruit shops here in Auckland. They’re just as tasty as I remembered.
