My favourite words

By Felix, 16 months old

I am saying more and more words every day. Here are some of my favourite words.

I like to go riding on the tram. I can even say tram except that it sounds like “tam”. I like the real tram, and Jay also takes me for rides on the sofa tram. The sofa tram is good because I can read a book when I am on it. I like reading books. I spend most of the day taking books to Mum and saying read book! I really like There’s a Wocket in my Pocket. I take it to Mum and say pocket! But my favourite is Old Hat New Hat which I read lots of times every day. I tell Mum it’s time for a story and then I say owd hat and she takes it it out and reads it again. I don’t think Mum and Dad like it as much as I do any more.

Some of the other words I like to say are sock shoe boot and shirt which are useful in the morning when I get up. I also wear trousers but I can’t say that word yet. At night I say brush because I know after my stories it’s time to brush my teeth, and then I go into my room and say bed. But the most useful word is the one I say all the time, to everyone. I put out my arms and say hug!
