Jay and I made puppets at Playcentre. When I talk about my puppet I call it my puppy. Puppy is pink with pink hair. She is a girl. Puppy walks around the house with me and talks to Mum and Dad. Dad looks at Puppy and says “How are you?” and I help Puppy say “Good!” in a squeaky voice. I think Puppy is really cute! When I talk to Puppy Mum and Dad smile and laugh. They must think Puppy is cute too.

How volcanos work

I explained how volcanos work to Mum this morning.

“If the lava is under the volcano, then when the volcano erupts the lava gets less and less. Then the volcano collapses and the rain can fall in and we can use it as a swimming pool.”

Citta

Today after dinner I decided to make up some new card games. The first game I made up was called Citta. It w as bit like “Snap” except when you win and put your hands down on the cards you have to call out “Citta”. And every time you get a red card on top of a red card, or a black card on top of a black card you win if you say Citta. I told Mum and Dad and Felix when it was their turn to play a card and I had to remind Dad when it was his turn to win as he didn’t seem to be paying attention. I never have that trouble with Mum as she is quite competitive and always trying to win.

I then decided we should try a new version of Citta where you have to twirl your card over and over before putting it down on the table. This allows everyone to see the colour of the card which makes it easier to know when to Citta. So I decided to change the rules on that too so that only black on red could be Citta, and then red on black as well. We finished by having to do double twirls with one card in each hand at the same time all playing together. I’m really good at making up rules. And I’m really good at Citta.

Thinking about fans

My Nana gave me some books full of paper tickets and I have been making a lot of fans for the last few days. To make a fan you just pull out one of the tickets and hold then corner and twist, twist, twist and keep twisting until it makes the shape of a fan blade. I made lots and lots of fans for Mum’s birthday yesterday.

Dad asked me where I got the idea for making the fans. He wondered if somebody showed me how to do it. So I told him.

Nobody else was doing it.
The think for it came into my head and then the think stayed in my head.
And you can use paper or you can use tickets or whatever you like.

Doctor Jay

I helped to fix Mum’s headache last night. Mum has a cold and she had to lie down before dinner becuase her head was sore. So I helped her. I sat behind her and drew a picture of her head so we could look at it and see all the bones. Then we could see what was wrong with her head and make it better.

I drew the picture on Mum’s back using my finger. Then I said “Aha, I see!” I saw what was wrong and told Mum that it was all better. She smiled and said she felt better. I like looking after Mum.

Glittery machine

I did a great picture of a machine today. It has glitter on it.

I explained the picture to an adult and she wrote it on the picture for me. Here’s what it says:

Machine picture with glitter. It cuts wood, it cuts paper, squashes the wood paper, then they give it to Jack and Neve and Thomas.

Nana and the Lion

Last night after I went to bed, my Nana arrived to stay with us. When I woke up this morning I was so excited. I woke up Dad and told him “Dad, I’m so excited!” Dad wasn’t excited because he picked Nana up from the airport late last night and I woke him at 6.30. So he popped me back into bed.

But I couldn’t wait. I woke him up again at 7 o’clock and asked him to get the lion. We have a lion puppet that Felix and I like to talk to. I wanted to tell the lion how excited I was about Nana visiting. So Dad put the puppet on his hand and I told the lion that I was so excited about Nana. The lion was excited too! Then we went in and told Felix who was also excited. Then we had breakfast and then we went in to see Nana. And she was excited to see us!

It’s a bit tricky

I like it when Dad plays Round and Round the Garden with me so I tried to play by myself. But it was too hard so I asked Dad to help.

Daddy do Round and Round the Garden. I can’t do it. It’s a bit tricky. Somebody else have to do it.

I already know a lot of things

Today I was playing with Mum’s paper cutter and Dad found me. He said that it’s Mum’s cutter and it’s not a toy for me to play with. I told him

“Don’t say that Dad. I already know it’s Mum’s cutter. I already know a lot of things.”

Sometimes it’s annoying when people tell me things that I already know.
