Embassies

Your first point of contact regarding Japanese visa eligibility is your local Japanese embassy. If you are already in Japan, you may want to contact your home country’s embassy. There are official lists for both of these. These are the places you need to contact for official information about your Japanese work visa and other Japanese immigration issues.

anna, there’s no such thing as a family visa. You can apply for a spouse visa for your wife or husband. You can also apply for a dependent visa for your child. But not for your sister.

JAY, you’re too old for a working holiday visa, but you’re never too old for a regular working visa… as long as you can find a job.

    Hi,

I’m permanent resident here in US, planning to have a vaction in the Philippines this coming December and I want to go to japan for like 1 or 2 weeks to visit some friends. My questions is what visa do i need to apply or do i still need avisa to go there? nd i really wanna know if that one takes a lot of time.

Hope to hear from you soon!

    Thank you!

Yna, if you are a US national then you don’t need a visa to enter Japan for a short vacation. If you are a national of another country, for example the Philippines, then you may need a visa. You should contact your nearest Japanese embassy.
