Recruiter websites
I investigated a lot of recruitement companies before and fter my arrival in Japan. Here I’ve listed websites for the companies that I actually met in person.
Some of these websites have job listings and other useful information, so it’s worthwhile looking through all of them. Some of them are in Japanese, and you’ll have to find a link to the English version of the page.
- CDS Consulting
- East West
- Ingenium Group
- James Harvard International were very helpful and knowledgeable.
- JDV International
- Options Group
- Robert Walters
- Top Money Jobs, restyled “TMJ” now the bubble has burst. When I looked at their website in 2001, they listed several software development jobs at over 20 million yen. Things are different now.
- Wall Street Associates also did well.
I also saw a couple of consulting companies. They’re worth talking to, but I get the impression that the work they could offer was less interesting and lower-paid than the more straightforward recruitment companies.
- Panache
- R P Square quoted me some alarmingly low salary ranges.
hi everyone. sut want to share my problem..
a japanese company/boss is not willing to give documents to sponsor my visa.. but is willing to give me a job!! I am offered a job through another foreign friend who’s in japan. The problem is my friend couldn’t ask this boss for documents to support my visa..
Degree on non-degree holder…?? helps to get a degree of a more related, demanding field maybe..
i finished master’s degree in economics in a japanese university under a grant from the japanese government.. i’ve another degree in management. Main problem, i think is that they (Japanese) fear of getting involved in visa processes, etc..
I’m totally depressed and don’t know what to do back here in my country.. I wish to go back to japan and try finding a job…
They are afraid basically of getting involved in immig talks, and yes, reason for hiring someone outside japan and proving that that not any local (or currently living foreign national) is more fit than i am for the job..
i think this shouldnt be the space for my post
please re-route
Hello, my name is Gill Lawson. I am hoping to move to Yokohama in January. I am trying to get some information on teaching english there but I keep getting this, we can’t hire you over there but you can’t work here unless you have a visa. What do I need to do considering I have 5 weeks left before I’m either in Japan or on the streets. Any information would be a great help. GILL
Gill, this kind of thing really does depend on the employers. I know some people have been able to organise teaching jobs before they arrived in Japan, but this was 3-4 years ago so maybe things have changed. Generally, when you’re moving to live in a different country, the more preparation, the better. (I had 12 months’ preparation before moving to Japan, but I still didn’t get a job until 5 months after I arrived.)
I am 39 years. I am from Bangladesh require even a labour job with a good salary. How can possible and where I am to contact. I am very very serious to have a job in Japan.
i want to work in japan but i want somebody who could hire me first in japan to give me working visa..as what my country (PHILIPPINES) needed before i can permit to go japan.
i can work as information personnel or even as administration assistant.
