Glorifer, according to the Philippine Embassy “An entry visa issued by the Japanese Embassy in Manila (or where the Filipino resides) is required before he/she can enter Japan.”

Alright, here’s the problem… My girlfriend lives in tokyo and I want to be with her. She was in New York City going to college on a student but she dropped out of school. To make matters worse, she overstayed her visa. Anyhow, she went back to Tokyo and I went over there to see her. I was so traumatized after I got there and found out that I couldn’t work without a work visa. I don’t have a college degree or anything like that. I’m just a New York bartender. This is what I want to know: what do I have to do to get a work visa and would the process go any faster if me and my girlfriend get married in Tokyo? I really need to know! I’ll be waiting for your response. Oh, by the way, her family won’t give her permission to marry me because they want her to be with a Japanese guy who treats her like a slave. He’s rich so they hate the fact that she is in love with me. What to do???
