Hello,
First of all, thank you for this plugin as I was not able to make any change in the loop without having a very bad result on my blog.
I still have an issue due to the part. Indeed, when I publish this thing in a post I got a green part which appears in the article: you can see that at the following direction:
http://www.missoffe.info/?p=7
What is that due to?
Thank you for your help.
Sincerely Yours,
Philippe
re-hello,
I also have another issue. When I activate the plugin, all the Titles (except the first one) are smaller. What is the reason?
Thank you for your answer.
Philippe
Hi,
I am using this on my new blog http://www.keepreadingus.com. I activated it, but its not working.
I am using mistylook-101 theme customised further for my needs.
wp verson i am using is 2.0.5
Thank you for any help.
Philippe, your theme seems to be causing this. Try putting a manual “more” in your post and see if you get the same result.
Raj, I am investigating. I am going to release a new version of Evermore that allows automatic diagnosis of problems like these. Watch this space.
hello,
I just noticed your evermore plugin treats html code in the content as content too, so if in my case I have a link with an image followed by some text, you plugin cuts my text off too short because it counts the html as text too.
any chance I could change that? or maybe an option to check/uncheck: count html code as text or not?
ovidiu, that’s a good idea. Making it work properly in all cases would be a bit fiddly, so I will consider it for a future version.
For now, you should try adjusting the number of characters and paragraphs Evermore uses. If you increase the character count then you may end up with what you want. That’s what I do at Bennettarium, which tends to have pictures at the beginning of posts.
Thanks for this plugin. It’s crazy how long it actually took me to find this! I was over at the WP.org forums, and most people asking for this got dissed for being too lazy to hit the more insert in their editor. Of course we’re lazy! That’s why we use computers!
Matt, I agree. The good thing about this plugin is that you can change your mind and remove all the “more” links, simply by disabling the plugin!
Hope you enjoy the new version.
Hi Bennett,
Your Evermore plugin works really well — thanks for your effort and dedication to your users ! But… I’d like _ever more_
Is it possible to exclude just the home page from the action of the Evermore plugin ?
(So that Evermore-style excerpts are displayed on every multiple post pages BUT the home page, which would display the entire posts.)
Lionel, I am considering ways to allow what you want without compromising the elegant simplicity of Evermore.
If I come up with a good solution I will include it in Evermore.
Thanks for looking into that when you have time, Bennett. And I wish you a very happy New Year !
Thank you very much. Just what I was long looking for.
