I will download the plugin…
This is an excellent plugin (and thank you for making it available). However, the search box on my blog has some sort of “live search” - not sure if that is default to Wordpress 2.2.1, part of my theme (K2) or a plugin I am using (sorry for being so vague). Anyways, if one pauses while typing, the partial search term shows up in the stats.
So, you’ll see “fo” foob” and “foobar” in the stats page. Thought I would let you know, and if I can find out how to determine what the deal is whith that live search feature, I will do so to help.
George, thanks for that. Somebody else mentioned it a while ago too. It can be fixed but will be a little tricky so I don’t know when I will get to it.
By the way, I have updated Search Meter to fix the problem with WP 2.2.1 and 2.3. Please let me know if you notice any problems when installing and activating the plugin.
Very nice plugin!
Site Meter’s a great little plugin and worked out of the box for me in 2.2.1
Perhaps for the ext version you could widgetise the sidebar stuff to make it easier for people to add the information to their sidebars? Keep up the good work.
Good idea Luke — I actually already have a widgetised version of Search Meter but it is still going through my very slow and laborious testing process. I will try to release it in August.
Hi,
I’m from Quebec city and my english is not good. Excuse me.
When the internaute is log author he can see in the head submenu search meter. If the person click on the button and go in the bottom page on Search meter option page the fatal error appear. I don’t want the author can manage option page.
It’s possible to make disapear Search meter on the admin submenu when the person is author or make than cannot make any manage on the option in the bottom page?
Excuse my english.
Thank you
congratulations, it works perfectly. If I ever make money with my site you will get my donation for sure. thanks.
Site Meter’s a great little plugin and worked out of the box thanks
I installed it, but it records no searches.
There is a wp head call in the header. Is there anything else I should edit?
Its WP 2.2, and all other plugins work fine.
Techzilo, I couldn’t find a search function on your blog. Could you tell me where it is?
I just did a manual search (?s=test) and got some results. Did a search for “test” show up in Search Meter?
France, thanks for noticing that! It’s a bug in the plugin — only the administrator should see the Options page link. A fix should be in the next release.
